The chairs of the Aluminium Chair series are the most famous creations by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra. Designed in 1958 they rate amongst the greatest achievements in the design history of the 20th century. The seat material - hopsack - is fitted loosely between the side sections and is comfortable without requiring extensive upholstery.
Also available without armrest (EA 106), without castors (EA 108) and with high backrest (EA 119).
