The small Prismatic Table designed in 1957 counts as Noguchis last furnishing design. This object of faceted aluminium was created for Alcoa (Aluminium Company of America).
The Prismatic Table is based on clear geometric form language. This original, three-legged side table with its hexagonal table top is made of welted aluminium sheet and was inspired by the traditional japanese paperfolding technique - Origami. |
