The classic Bibendum
armchair - the original!
The famous Bibendum
armchair was designed already as early as 1929 by Eileen Gray for ClassiCon.
The ClassiCon Bibendum
armchair features an absolutely unique appearance. Nowhere in design history will you find an armchair resembling this one.
Despite its size (WxHxD 90 x 73 x 83 cm) it shows fascinating harmony. It combines majestic presence with charms and esprit like no other chair. Eileen Gray emphasized the characteristics of her beloved parlour chair, the Bibendum
armchair, with witty irony by naming it after the Michelin tire-man, whose shape is quoted in the armchair's design. (Authorized by The World License Holder Aram Designs Ltd, London)
The frame structure of the Bibendum
armchair is made of chrome-plated steel tube, the seat of beech wood with rubber straps, the upholstery is made of polyurethane with quilting cotton. The leather cover of the Bibendum
armchair is available in different colours, please see the "available product types" for detailed information. The Bibendum
armchair is in stock!
On request the Bibendum
armchair is also available with fabric covers in other colours.
